Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge India Launch Set for May 13

Samsung is set to unveil its latest premium smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Edge, in India on May 13. The device will be introduced via a live online event scheduled for 5:30 AM IST, which viewers can access through Samsung’s official website and YouTube channel.

The Galaxy S25 Edge, which was initially showcased during the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event, is positioned within the brand’s flagship series. It follows the Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra models, focusing on a compact and streamlined form. Its design aligns with the rising demand for ultra-slim smartphones, a trend also seen in the CMF Phone 2 Pro and the upcoming OnePlus 13s.

According to information confirmed by Samsung, the Galaxy S25 Edge will feature a profile just 5.8mm thick and weigh 170 grams. While the material for the device frame remains unconfirmed, speculation continues over whether it will feature the titanium build used in the S25 Ultra or the aluminium frame seen on the standard S25 series.

The phone will offer a 6.8-inch AMOLED display, supporting QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Protection will be handled by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, aiming to provide durability without adding to the overall weight.

Under the hood, the Galaxy S25 Edge may run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, though certain regions could receive variants powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos processor. The phone is likely to be equipped with 12GB of RAM and internal storage options ranging from 256GB up to 1TB. The device will come with Android 15-based One UI 7.

Powering the phone will be a 3,900mAh battery, with support for 25W fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging.

Samsung has confirmed a dual rear camera setup. The main sensor is expected to be a 200MP shooter, potentially based on a customized version of the ISOCELL HP2 sensor used in the S25 Ultra. The second lens may be either an ultrawide or telephoto sensor. Due to the slim profile, the internal camera architecture is likely to be significantly redesigned to accommodate flagship-grade imaging performance.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is projected to be priced between the standard S25 and the high-end S25 Ultra. A 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant may carry a price tag close to Rs 1,10,000 in India, positioning it as a premium offering for consumers seeking high performance in a compact form.
